Software Application Developer - Worcester (Hybrid) - Salary £45,000 (DOE)

I am looking for an experienced Software Application Developer with Autodesk software experience (AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion360 etc). The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of Autodesk software and a solid background in software development, specifically with C# and .NET.

In this role, you will be tasked with creating and deploying software solutions customized to meet our clients' unique needs. Your primary focus will be on programming with C# and .NET, while also providing pre- and post-sales support. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, and deliver robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development:

  • Develop tailored software solutions utilizing Autodesk applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Fusion 360, Vault, etc.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deploy software features and functionalities to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and stability of software applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the implementation and post-implementation phases.
  • Stay informed of the latest updates, tools, and advancements within the Autodesk software suite.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for software designs, codebases, and technical specifications.

Pre- & Post-Sales Support:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service for Autodesk® products, maintaining high standards of support.
  • Offer pre-sales consultancy for Autodesk® products, including Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and Vault. Prepare and conduct effective technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Provide post-sales training and consultancy on Autodesk® products, focusing on part modelling, assemblies, sheet metal, static and dynamic motion analysis, routing, and iLogic applications.
  • Offer responsive telephone support for Autodesk® products.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify and drive new business opportunities for Autodesk® products.
  • Assist the Marketing team in developing promotional materials across various media platforms.
  • Coordinate with Autodesk® global technical teams to maintain and enhance current Autodesk® accreditations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software development, particularly with Autodesk software applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including C# and .NET.
  • Strong expertise in Autodesk APIs and customization frameworks.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Autodesk certifications (ACP/ACI) are a plus but not mandatory.
