- We are seeking an Engineering Technician with a strong background in food or FMCG to join a leading company in the UK.
- The role involves leading a shift team of three engineers and coordinating maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure production and safety standards.
- Candidates should be fully qualified multi-skilled engineers with prior experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or pharmaceuticals, and possess excellent fault-finding and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- The position offers a salary of just over £56,000, along with an excellent benefits package including a bonus scheme and attractive pension.
- This role is suitable for those with at least some project experience and the ability to maintain a CMMS system, and it follows a 12-hour slow rotating shift pattern.

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you will lead a shift team of three, including yourself and two multi-skilled engineers.
- Coordinate and prioritise maintenance, repairs, and improvements to meet production and safety standards.
- Conduct planned maintenance, fault-finding, and technical support to minimise downtime.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive continuous improvement for equipment reliability.
- Manage resources, plan work, and maintain engineering standards.
- Train and mentor team members, covering for the Engineering Team Leader as required.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified, multi-skilled engineer
- Prior food / FMCG / packaging / pharmaceutical experience.
- Excellent fault-finding and RCA (Root Cause Analyses) skills.
- Some projects experience would be beneficial.
- Experience maintaining a CMMS system.
- Strong decision making ability.
12-hour, slow rotating shift pattern. Salary is just over £56,000 + excellent package including bonus scheme, very attractive pension, health care etc.
Commutable from Bedford, Cambridge, Letchworth Garden City, Stevenage, Hitchin, Sandy, Biggleswade and St Neots.
