About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Fabric Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves a variety of general handyman and semi-skilled duties, including but not limited to minor building fabric repairs, decorating tasks, and basic plumbing repairs.

As a Mobile Fabric Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the fabric of buildings across various locations, in Southeast London and Kent. This is a mobile role, covering sites within the London/Metro/South East London areas and extending into Kent, with occasional support required in Sussex and coastal Kent.


Key Responsibilities:


  • General Maintenance: Perform minor building fabric repairs, decorating tasks, and basic plumbing repairs.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service within a commercial environment, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance: Work in line with specific method statements, risk assessments, and safety legislation, adhering to health and safety systems.
  • PPM & Reactive Work: Ensure planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks and reactive works are completed within contractual service level agreements to meet KPIs.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date site documentation for regular audits by internal and external parties.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a collaborative team, assisting where necessary to meet all contractual obligations.
  • Health & Safety: Demonstrate strong health and safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery of all work.

What Were Looking For:


  • Experience: Practical experience in carrying out fabric-related PPMs in line with industry standards, with a wide range of skills in reactive and repair work.
  • Self-Sufficiency: Ability to undertake reactive repairs and small projects with minimal supervision.
  • Background: Previous experience working as a Fabric Technician in commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Licenses: A UK Driving License is essential. Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification is desirable.
  • Travel: The role requires mobility, and a company van is provided. Travel on the rail network is free.
