Warehouse Operative
Location: Rushden
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Hours: Rotating shifts 6:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

Job Purpose:
As a Warehouse Operative, you'll be a key part of our team, helping ensure that goods are accurately packed, sorted, and prepared for timely dispatch. This role demands precision, efficiency, and dedication to maintaining our company's high standards for dependable and swift service.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately sort, pack, scan, and label parcels as per instructions.
Safely load and unload delivery vehicles, handling items with care to prevent damage.
Operate sorting machinery and equipment following all operational and safety protocols.
Conduct routine checks on equipment and promptly report any maintenance needs.
Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and effective parcel distribution.
Prepare parcels for dispatch, including wrapping and secure stacking when needed.
Maintain clear communication with warehouse supervisors and team leads regarding any issues, delays, or changes in workload.
Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience in warehouse or manual handling roles.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks, including lifting.
Familiarity with scanning and sorting equipment (or willingness to learn).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate parcel sorting.
Dependable and punctual, with the ability to meet shift requirements and productivity targets.
Positive attitude and capability to work effectively within a diverse team.
Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements:

Flexible availability, including weekends and peak times (e.g., holiday season).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Willingness to participate in training and adhere to safety protocols.
High personal integrity and respect for team members and customers.
Must own safety boots; company-provided training includes health and safety, manual handling, and parcel management.
