The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of all mechanical systems and equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring minimal downtime, increasing equipment efficiency, and supporting the continuous improvement of production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements that enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Ensure that all mechanical maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Record and report maintenance activities using the companys CMMS
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
  • Hands-on experience with fault-finding, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance in an industrial setting.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
