Field Service Engineer
£30-34k DOE + Overtime
London and Home Counties
Our client is a worldwide market leader in access solutions across a wide range of sectors. Within the hospitality sector, they have a requirement for a Field Service Engineer whose patch will be London and the Home Counties as part of a team.
This role is a diverse role that needs not just an electro-mechanical aptitude and experience but also a decent IT aspect with some experience of networking as modern technology dictates. Much of the modern products are RFID driven but much of the older stuff is still electro-mechanical
This role isn’t just a service and repair role but will sometimes (not often) involve the commissioning of new systems either in new build hotels or on refurbishment projects.
As with any Field Service Engineer role, you will have good customer service skills responding appropriately to their needs.
Experience within areas such as automatic doors, barriers, perimeter access or other systems where a good broad electro-mechanical and IT experience mix is required would be ideal. EPOS and ATM field experience is also of interest.
- Previous field service experience in electro-mechanical field is required.
- Clean driving licence.
- Good customer support abilities
- Good understanding of network solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating platforms
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Our client is a very progressive organisation with technology constantly evolving and accordingly keeping staff trained up and understanding of new developments. They are also a very established and solid organisation.
Overtime can generally be up to 10 hours per week. The working day is 8.30am-5pm with time spent outside those hours being overtime and generally spent getting to the job
