The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Humanities Teacher with a specialism in History and Religious Education (RE) to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position, starting as soon as possible. As a Humanities Teacher, you will inspire and motivate students, delivering high-quality lessons and fostering a love for learning in the subjects of History and RE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in History and RE, tailored to the needs of students.
  • Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to meet curriculum requirements and drive student progress.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Humanities curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and inclusive.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices and stay current with educational developments.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in History, RE or related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Ability to teach History and RE, with a strong knowledge base in both subjects.
  • Proven experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • A passion for Humanities and a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload effectively.
