My client a global leader in secure digital, physical, and transactional solutions are looking for 2 Mobile Application Engineers to join their Software Development team which provides agile development services to a wide range of customers and internal stakeholders, supporting key software products that drive our business forward.

As a Mobile Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and extending our suite of mobile apps built using Xamarmin/.NET MAUI. You will integrate with third-party SDKs to deliver high-quality applications to a worldwide audience. This role involves working closely with Product Owners to implement new features, enhance user experiences, and drive technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design and develop high-quality, simple software using appropriate design patterns.
  • User Focus: Drive incremental delivery of software that provides the highest value to users and addresses risks in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Promote knowledge sharing across teams to facilitate collaboration on the same codebase.
  • Communication: Regularly update your team and colleagues on your work through agile ceremonies and software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in ways of working, processes, and the adoption of new technologies.
  • Code Review: Review code authored by colleagues, identify potential issues, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Incident Management: Take responsibility for managing priorities, supporting investigations, and creating appropriate fixes during live incidents.
  • Technical Support: Assist delivery leads and architecture colleagues in identifying and defining technical tasks and activities required to deliver user stories.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience developing and releasing real-world mobile applications across both iOS and Android - Essential
    • Experience with Xamarin or .NET MAUI - Essential
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Azure or similar - Essential
    • Ability to write automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels - Essential
    • Experience working with Git or similar source control - Essential
    • Working in an Agile environment - Desirable
    • Knowledge of developing within a continuous integration environment and providing constructive feedback through code reviews - Desirable
