We are excited to offer a rare opportunity to join one of England’s leading sparkling wine producers. We are seeking an Office Manager for maternity cover. The role involves supervising office support staff, managing office operations, processing orders, and handling some financial tasks.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Supervise and manage Office Support staff and temporary office staff.
  • Ensure the office is manned, telephone calls are answered, and messages are relayed promptly during office hours.
  • Coordinate maintenance and service for security, fire systems, non-production electrics, and waste management across the site.
  • Handle office administration, including answering phone calls, taking messages, and meeting visitors.
  • Manage site cleaning and liaise with the cleaning contractor.
  • Arrange the supply of computer/office/kitchen equipment and furniture as required.
  • Responsible for timely and cost-effective ordering of office supplies, stationary, kitchen, and cleaning supplies.
  • Support the Tour/events team for onsite events.
  • Process and fulfil orders from the Duty Paid store, manage courier services, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Stock management and responsibility for the Duty Paid Store.
  • Perform credit control tasks, including invoicing and follow-up on payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an office-based role, ideally as an Office Manager.
  • Computer literacy, with English and Maths GCSE at grade ‘C’ or above.
  • Knowledge of financial principles, including preparing invoices and purchase orders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and note-taking skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25kgs and stand for long periods.
  • First Aid certification and forklift licence are advantageous.
  • Experience and awareness of Health & Safety and Fire risk management are beneficial.
