Job Description:

Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Locum Medicines Management Technician to join a reputable NHS hospital in Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the pharmacy team in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across the hospital, contributing directly to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of medicines across inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Support the implementation and review of medicine management policies and procedures.
  • Work with clinical teams to ensure patients receive the correct medications and doses.
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Conduct medicines reconciliation on patient admissions and discharges.
  • Monitor medication stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory management.
  • Provide advice and support to healthcare professionals regarding medicines management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in medicines management is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) or relevant qualification.
  • Experience working in a hospital or NHS setting is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of medicines management procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
