Managing Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Hampshire. The business has been established for over 40 years with regional offices across the South of England, operating across several project sectors including blue light, education, healthcare, commercial and housing. Projects value up to 20mil and they have won a place on several local authority frameworks. As a result of a continued successful growth plan they're now looking to expand the commercial team.

About the role of Managing Quantity Surveyor:

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects and commercial teams. You will be involved in managing projects from pre-construction through to final account and report into the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities as Managing Quantity Surveyor:

  • Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
  • Oversee the project's commercial status throughout
  • Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
  • Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Managing Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Proficient in administering JCT & NEC forms of contact
  • Experience overseeing multiple schemes at differing stages
  • People management experience
  • Must have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to site as required
