You will work closely with other engineering disciplines and project management, demonstrating strong persuasion and collaboration skills. In this role, you will lead safety design activities and manage resources on various projects, ranging from feasibility phases through Basic Design and FEED to Detailed Design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis, calculations, and engineering studies to produce technical safety deliverables in line with company standards and international codes.
  • Develop safety-relateddeliverables including:
    • Loss Prevention Activities (e.g., Fire & Gas Design, Active/Passive Fire Protection, Hazardous Area Classification)
    • Risk Analysis (e.g., QRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, Flare/Vent Studies)
    • HSE-related Philosophies
    • Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Studies
    • HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments
  • Supervise and guide team members to ensure technical standards and production schedules are met.
  • Review and approve documents and drawings produced by others according to departmental procedures.
  • Provide technical support and solutions for safety design requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage discipline or multidisciplinary interfaces related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Participate in developing company standards and procedures.
  • Assist with man-hour estimates and planning for proposals and projects.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and associated standards, as well as company procedures.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in technical safety aspects and deliverables within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience in Risk Identification and Assessment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering), accredited by a recognized chartered engineering institute (e.g., IChemE).
