CHP Field Service Engineer

The Role: We are working with a leading company in the energy sector that is seeking a CHP Field Service Engineer to join their team. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing CHP systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability while working with cutting-edge power generation technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks and scheduled service checks on CHP systems as per manufacturer protocols.

  • Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty components or parts as required.

  • Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding to identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner.

  • Provide on-call support for emergency breakdowns and be available for out-of-hours emergency work as required.

  • Ensure excellent customer service through professional communication, timely resolutions, and a positive client experience.

  • Work safely in accordance with UK standards and company Health & Safety regulations and policies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recognised qualification in engineering, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Gas, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Gas Safe Registered (essential for working with gas systems).

  • CHP-specific qualifications or experience in power generation systems (desirable).

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and implement solutions.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

  • Full UK driving licence (essential for field-based work).
