An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Welding Coordinator to join a team involved in a variety of high-quality projects across Hampshire. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards in welding and fabrication.

The Role

  • Oversee all welding activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Develop and manage welding procedures, specifications, and quality control plans.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure that all work is delivered to the highest quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to welders and fabricators.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation, including WPSs and welder qualifications.
  • Promote and enforce health and safety best practices at all times.
  • What You'll Need
  • Recognised qualifications as a Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC).
  • Demonstrable experience in welding coordination, ideally within structural steel, shipbuilding, or fabrication sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, MMA, FCAW) and materials.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO 9606 and EN 1090.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A meticulous approach to quality assurance and safety.
