Your Day to day duties in the role

You will be involved in the machining of products ready for the next stage of the process

Experience/Skills and Education Requirements

  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Ability to read engineering quality plans
  • Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment – Micrometres, Vernier’s etc.
  • Detailed inspection of a wide range of precision components and fabrications in accordance with engineering drawings and written specifications.
  • Good organisational skills, record keeping and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to think through problems to find solutions within agreed guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to question a process and suggest possible improvements.

Experience

  • Experience in all inspection functions and activities.
  • Experience of operating computing equipment for data processes.
  • Experience of inspection within the nuclear industry is desired.
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
  • Working knowledge of NDE techniques and applications.
  • Solid background of technical understanding.
  • Quality Engineering.
