IT Support Technician
- 25K - 30K (dependant on experience)
- Alton, Hampshire (Flexibility to work from home on a hybrid basis)
- Permanent Contract
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible hours)
My client based in Alton, Hampshire l is currently seeking a 1st Line IT Support Technician. The role will be a combination of office based support and hybrid home working.
Within this Technical Support role you will be dealing with inbound and outbound customer service calls and e-mails regarding queries relating to IT support and supporting internal colleagues, ensuring the service you provide is thorough and customer centric.
You will report directly to the Line Manager, and have multiple opportunities to grow and develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day operation of the IT support service, ensuring the appropriate service levels are maintained and the systems are reliable.
- Work closely with the companies external IT support company.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out minor repairs to IT equipment both hardware and software
- Accountable and responsible for delivering day to day IT support to all users and addressing any ongoing or recurring issues impacting the network.
- Contribute to the IT vision and strategy, ensuring it meets the companies requirements and is viable from a technical and IT support perspective.
- Responsible for maintenance and management of an up-to-date asset register, enabling tracking of assets.
- Escalating technical queries to the companies third party IT partner.
The Person Skills / Experience required for the 1st Line Support Engineer:
- Previous experience within an IT support role
- Strong methodical approach in troubleshooting tickets
- Have a good understanding of Windows Server and Office 365
- Must be able to interphase with both technical and non-technical customers.
