As the Finance & Operations Director, you’ll oversee all financial operations, implement robust administrative processes, and contribute to strategic succession planning to ensure long-term organisational success.
This full-time, office-based role offers free onsite parking, and due to the location, having your own transport will be essential.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Demonstrable success in a senior financial role such as Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Finance Director.
- Qualifications: AAT qualified or part-qualified accountancy qualification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAGE 200 or similar financial software.
- Leadership: Experience in mentoring teams and contributing to succession planning.
- Strategic Thinking: A track record of driving process improvements and aligning financial strategies with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Leadership
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to Directors, providing financial insights to guide decision-making.
- Manage budgets, cashflow forecasting, and year-end reporting, including stock control and analysis.
- Implement and document financial policies, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Lead payroll processing, VAT submissions, and credit control processes.
- Oversee financial aspects of stock importation, including invoice management and currency exchanges.
Strategic & Administrative Duties
- Manage holiday, absence, and employment records while overseeing recruitment efforts.
- Lead IT security reviews, recommend updates, and liaise with IT support providers.
- Regularly assess company and vehicle insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs).
