Join my clients community-focused café, Café 1759, as a Café Assistant. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our café, contributing to a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all customers. You will work under the supervision of the café management team, assisting in the preparation and service of the daily menu while maintaining high standards of food quality, health and safety, and customer service.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to the café’s menu.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food preparation and serving areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Take customer orders accurately and handle inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels and receiving deliveries, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Follow cafĂ© policies and procedures, including cash handling and closing procedures.
  • Contribute to the setup and cleanup of the cafĂ© to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Engage in all cleaning tasks, maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout the cafĂ©.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, report any issues to the management team promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in food preparation and service is preferred.
