Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible part-time role? We are seeking a Payroll Administrator for a renowned manufacturing company in Alton. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the payroll administration process, contribute to business improvements, and enjoy a supportive work environment.This role is offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract and with part-time hours (22.5 hours per week).Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the payroll inbox, directing and dealing with any queries
  • Handling queries from internal managers, HR and employees about overtime, shift allowances, changes of details etc.
  • Analysing payroll data and running reports ahead of 2 payroll dates per month
  • Month end payroll reconciliations
  • Supporting the Finance Director with pension administration - uploading reports and cleansing data

What you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Payroll Administrator / Payroll Assistant / Payroll Clerk / HR & Payroll Assistant / Finance and Payroll Assistant
  • Strong payroll experience - you enjoy all things payroll!
  • Competence with Excel, able to manipulate large data sets
  • A methodical and detailed approach
