Chef£13,598 per annum Weekend shifts - 20 hours per week Hospital based roleAltrincham, Greater ManchesterMeridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Chef for a National Private Care Provider.This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a part time Weekend Chef within an experienced and committed catering team. Working hours will be over Saturday and Sunday with a requirement to attend work during the week for mandatory training.Successful candidates will assist with the provision of the catering service at the hospital with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals.Key Accountabilities for the role holder will include:
  • Undertaking the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
  • Ensuring operational standards are met with regards Assured Safe Catering policies and guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
  • The role holder will be expected to work 30 hours per week working four/five days over seven. Hours will vary dependent on the shift worked but the role holder will not be expected to work later than 7pm.
  • The role holder will be expected to hold a NVQ2 or equivalent in Catering together with a basic qualification in food hygiene and will have experience of working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • The role holder will work in a busy kitchen environment and have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptive in their thinking.
