Ward Manager

Altrincham, Manchester / £44,374.72 - £50,328.72 (DOE) / 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ward Manager to join a leading mental health facility in Altrincham, Manchester. As a vital member of the team, you will lead a 15-bedded CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) specialist eating disorder inpatient service.

Key Responsibilities for the Ward Manager:

Take on a leadership role, providing clinical management and support to the nursing team, acting as a role model and mentor.

Ensure the delivery of high standards of nursing care, overseeing patient care and ward resources.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, carry out comprehensive risk assessments, and ensure the well-being of all patients.

Play an active role in the hospital's clinical governance and audit processes, working closely with senior management and local stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience for the Ward Manager:

RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) qualification.

Previous experience working within a CAMHS environment and with eating disorders is highly desirable.

Strong leadership skills, with a commitment to fostering a supportive and professional environment.

Additional Information for the Ward Manager:

There will be on-call duties approximately 8 weeks per year.

You will be required to disclose your vaccination status as part of pre-employment checks in line with infection control efforts.
