We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join us here at our Head Office in Altrincham but also working through all our sites throughout the UK.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team. The QA Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance for our construction projects, ensuring that they meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction quality management, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures for all construction projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve construction materials and workmanship to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Support the operational team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective quality control.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to quality assurance, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance certificates.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and work with the team to implement best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction quality management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Certification in Quality Management is a plus.
