Psychology graduate - Altrincham - February start

Prospero Teaching are looking for a confident and ambitious Psychology Graduate who has a genuine passion for education who is interested in supporting secondary aged students (11-16) who are struggling in school for any reason and being there to support them, either in their work or in a pastoral capacity at a secondary school in Altrincham. It is essential that you have some kind of experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, PTSD or ADHD..

Responsibilities:

Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needsThe willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potentialThe ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor

Psychology (BA Hons) degreeEnhanced DBS (clean, relevant and on the update service) Can be obtained through Prospero TeachingSafeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM - essentialBehaviour management training - desirableA committed and enthusiastic attitude to workA genuine passion for enriching young people in their educationExcellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
