Compliance Solicitor – Flexible & Hybrid Working?? Location: Altrincham (1-2 days in-office + remote working)?? Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 FTE (pro-rata based on agreed hours)? Hours: 22.5 – 37.5 per week (flexible, 3-5 days per week)A fast-moving, technology-driven law firm is seeking a Compliance Solicitor to support its COLP in ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing non-qualified staff. Specialising in financial claims, particularly undisclosed commission on car finance agreements, the firm is looking for a candidate with strong regulatory knowledge and experience in risk management.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm complies with SRA regulations, developing and implementing compliance policies, and providing supervision and training for non-qualified staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop compliance expertise within a regulated legal environment while benefiting from hybrid and flexible working arrangements.Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the COLP in maintaining compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Supervising non-qualified staff, conducting audits, and delivering training sessions.
  • Managing conflicts of interest, confidentiality issues, and risk assessments.
  • Ensuring the firm meets regulatory and reporting obligations, including breach registers and compliance reviews.
Candidate Requirements
  • A qualified Solicitor (3+ years PQE) with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in risk management, compliance, or regulatory oversight within a law firm.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to support non-qualified staff.
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation (desirable).
