Private Client Solicitor – Altrincham

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting Wills and assisting with Will preparations
  • Assisting with the administration of estates, including applying for Grants of Probate
  • Advising clients on inheritance tax, estate planning and trust structures
  • Assisting in the preparation and administration of trusts
  • Preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications
  • Conducting legal research and preparing correspondence
  • Managing a caseload with supervision and maintaining client relationships
  • Assisting senior colleagues with complex cases and transactions
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Wills, Trusts and Probate law (or experience gained through a legal trainee role or paralegal position)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload with support
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and legal procedures in private client matters
  • A strong client-focused approach with the ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • A team player with a willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Commercially aware and able to work effectively to targets and deadlines
  • Experience dealing with high-net-worth clients or complex estates is an advantage
  • A strong desire to develop your expertise in Wills, Trusts and Probate law

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with clients
  • Commercially minded
  • Innovative and the ability to challenge and adapt
  • Business development experience is preferred
  • Law degree/LPC or relevant legal qualification
