Our client is a well-established law firm based in Hale, specialising in commercial litigation and property law for both commercial and residential clients. They are now looking for a Property Finance Solicitor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a minimum of two years PQE.

You will specialise in providing advice and services related to the financing of property. You will be involved in all aspects of property loans, mortgages, and other forms of property-related financing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on property transactions to provide guidance to clients on the legal aspects of property transactions, including both residential and commercial properties.
  • Drafting and Reviewing Contracts related to property loans, mortgages, and other forms of financing, ensuring all terms are clear, lawful, and protect your client's interests.
  • Carry out due diligence on the property being financed, ensuring that all necessary checks are completed, including investigating the property's title, any restrictions on the property, and confirming that the borrower has the legal right to secure a loan on the property.
  • Assisting with negotiating the terms of loans, whether it's a commercial mortgage, development finance, or other types of borrowing, ensuring the lender's security is protected and that the borrower is aware of their obligations.
  • Handling security and guarantees where appropriate and managing disputes if issues arise.
  • Assist with more complex transactions such as project financing for property or land development, reviewing project financing agreements, development contracts, and the structuring of finance deals.
