Job Title: Assembly Technician / Mechanical Fitter

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main task will be to ensure optimum output at the highest levels of quality, service and efficiency within the company.


Key Responsibilities:

1. All aspects of manufacturing and assembly work ensuring adherence to all manufacturing quality and safety standards including but not restricted to ISO 9001:2015.
2. Assembly and manufacture of products and parts to the highest quality levels to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
3. Liaison with company employees and departments but especially the Operations Manager.
4. Operation of various types of equipment in support of the manufacture of the product range as required by production.
5. Provide a high degree of flexibility in undertaking other duties, in accordance with the Company procedures, as is deemed necessary by the company.

Main Duties of the role:

* Perform operations in a 'hands on' capacity as instructed by the Operations Manager.
* Support all aspects of the manufacturing operation within the factory.
* Seek ways to improve the efficiency and quality within operations across the company and provide feedback to management on product / quality issues.
* Undertake all manufacturing duties in accordance with the company's Quality and Health & Safety guidelines, maintaining the workplace in a clean condition at all times.
* Support all employee and product training initiatives within the factory.
* Ensure that all company procedures and operations are adhered to.
* Ensure that all traveller bookings or other bookings required by management are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
* Ensure that all manufacturing due dates are adhered to and that all material issues are accurate to requirements.
* Carry out analysis of completed manufactured parts in accordance with company procedures including, but not restricted to, checking parts, assemblies and finished product are accurate and to specification.
* Ensure that both planned and unplanned maintenance requirements are reported and recorded.
* Identify and record all scrap components in accordance with company procedures.
* Carry out other duties (where competent and training has been given) as deemed necessary by the company.
