Field Engineer Opportunity - Epos - Dublin - 6 month contract €200 per day

The Bridge IT have partnered with a leading provider of retail and hospitality technology solutions who are specialised in delivering cutting-edge EPOS systems to some of the most recognised brands across the UK.

As an Epos Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of EPOS systems across various client sites. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality customer service. You will be the face of the company to clients, ensuring that their systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain EPOS systems, hardware, and software at client locations.
  • Breakfix Support: Provide prompt and effective breakfix support, diagnosing and rectifying issues to minimise downtime.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients in a professional manner, offering training and advice to ensure they get the most out of their systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, both remotely and on-site, across a range of EPOS and IT systems.
  • Project Work: Participate in and manage various projects, including system upgrades, rollouts, and new installations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and customer feedback.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Field Engineer, preferably within EPOS systems or similar IT hardware/software environments. Experience with retail or QSR installations is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT systems, networking, troubleshooting, Cat 5, 6 Cabling and experience with Windows OS and SQL databases is beneficial.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Organisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various client sites, with occasional out-of-hours work as required.
