Description

We are working with a FMCG Manufacturer who are looking for a QA Technologist to join their team based in Altrincham.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure company and customer quality standards are being met, working along side QA Supervisors and QA Technicians.
  • To ensure that product 'on hold' is identified clearly and corrective procedure is followed with regard to the specific requirements of that item or product.
  • To ensure good communications are maintained within the organisation.
  • To perform accurately, analysis of the raw materials & certification, product, process, and packaging to determine its suitability for the purpose.
  • To ensure that systems and procedures are being followed to attain the Company's required product quality, safety, legality and authenticity from raw material preparation through to finished goods.
  • To be involved in customer complaint investigation, helping to get to the root cause and preventative action.
  • Ensure the appropriate traceability systems are maintained and take part in challenges of the traceability system.
  • To liaise with production, warehousing, planning, customer services and senior leadership team to ensure product status is communicated.
  • To be familiar with all departments work instruction, procedures, and methods of analysis, particularly HPLC.
  • To provide an auditing function to ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete, supporting with CCP audit training and team briefings where required.
  • Stock-take of chemicals and equipment to ensure adequate supplies are maintained reporting low levels to QA supervisor.
  • Positive release of finished product through the lab analysis of aflatoxin through the HPLC.

Qualifications, Experience and skills

  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of QA systems.
  • Food Safety & HACCP.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Able to work in a noisy and fast paced environment.
