Job Advert: Quantity Surveyor
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity in the construction industry? We have a fantastic permanent role available with a small boutique consultancy based in Altrincham.
Our client, a well-established company, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for a range of commercial duties, including tendering, cost management, and contract terms. Proficiency in JCT contracts is also required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting quantity surveying tasks and cost analysis for construction projects.
* Preparing accurate estimates, tenders, and cost plans.
* Managing contract variations and valuations.
* Collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Providing expert advice on commercial matters.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of cost management strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial quantity surveying practises, including tendering, cost management, and contract terms.
* Proficiency in using JCT contracts.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* A full UK driving licence.
