We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a long-term role supporting two Year 4 children with Autism, one of whom presents some behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and skilled in fostering a supportive learning environment, helping both children stay engaged, focused, and develop positive behaviours.

Start Date: ImmediateWorking Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 AM – 3:30 PMInterview/Trial Dates: Weeks commencing 3rd March & 10th March

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with moderate to severe learning difficulties
  • Recent school-based experience within the last five years
  • Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations positively
  • Creative and dynamic approach to engaging and supporting pupils
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively with staff and contribute to a positive learning environment
  • Commitment to the role until the end of the academic year (July 2025)
