Smart Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tamworth. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children aged 2 to 11 years with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), Autism (ASD), Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI), Physical Disabilities (PD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:- Provide one-to-one and group support, helping pupils to engage with learning activities.
- Assist in developing individual learning plans, adapting lessons to meet students’ unique needs.
- Support communication and interaction, using alternative communication methods where necessary.
- Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

What We’re Looking For:- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children with complex needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
