A fabulous opportunity for a Principle Sprayer Operator/Tractor Driver on a family-owned business growing open field and protected salads near Stratford upon Avon as arisen.
My Client is seeking an organised, self-starter who is able to work under their own initiative. You will need to be flexible on hours worked, weather conditions may require spraying early morning and/or late evenings with time away from work in middle of day. They operate three sprayers, a Househam AR 3000 24-meter sprayer and two tractor mounted sprayers.
Working as part of a small team & closely with their in-house agronomist, PA1, PA2 and PA4G are required but full training will be provided if required.
When not spraying, you will be tractor driving undertaking various operations or general farm tasks; a Telescopic Handler license is an advantage
Duties to include -
� Accurate and timely applications of pesticides to crops
� Liaising with other members of the team to aid in the above
� Managing the spray store in a safe and tidy manner including stock control
� Accurate record keeping using an on-line farm management system
� Maintenance of the sprayers and recording of daily/monthly checks
� Other tractor driving duties as required.
� General farm work.
Hours of Work
� Main season is between March and November
� Our aim is to limit working hours to a maximum of 60hrs per week during the main season over 5 � per week
� Winter season in the region of 40hrs per week
Remuneration
� Competitive salary in line with experience, rising after successful probation.
� Annual holiday entitlement of 20 days plus bank holiday
