Panel Wireman

3 month Rolling Contract

Based in Peterborough

Monday - Friday 10 Hour Shifts

£20ph Umbrella or PAYE

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Panel Wirer will include the following:

  • Fabricate panels and fit electrical components according to detailed engineering drawings
  • Drilling, Tapping, Trunking, Conduit of panel etc
  • Installing electrical components such as circuit breakers, fuses, PLC’s Power supplies, motors, drives etc
  • Wiring panels – crimping soldiering, terminating, stripping wires
  • Basic testing of control panels

The Panel Wireman must possess the following skills & experience:

  • Proven experience in panel wirer within an industrial environment
  • Understanding schematics and layout drawings
  • Expertise in panel modification, building and machine wiring
  • Electrical qualification, NVQ LVL 3 or equivalent or apprentice trained  
  • ability to fault find and repair a variety of control panels
  • Hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members
