Carbon60 are currently working with one of the UK's leading water treatment equipment manufacturers based in Peterborough to recruit an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis to assist with the maintenance of various electrical systems including PLC and SCADA systems.

The role will be based at the manufacturing facility full time supporting the plant operations team to carry out maintenance on mobile treatment units.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC software.
  • Fault finding in control systems (PLCs', SCADA, DCS etc) through preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Electrical and PLC support to the Plant and Assembly Team.
  • Producing documentation / drawings for the plant PLC
  • Maintaining electrical control systems in containers, trailers and skids. Including lighting, direct on-line, instrumentation, pumps / motors, etc.
  • Some PLC modifications and fault finding in the regeneration plant, for sites, and on our control systems for mobile water treatment equipment.
  • Assisting in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
  • Following EHS and Quality standards.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial electrical works
  • Previously worked in Industrial area, assembly or other operational role
  • Strong EHS and Quality awareness
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, or NVQ3 in electrical based units, or similar
  • Drawing software skills
  • Experience in the Water treatment industry is an advantage, but not essential.
