Role – Assembly Assistant

Salary - £23,000-£25,000

My client is an exclusive and entirely independent lighting design consultancy. Due to having no direct association with any manufacturer they have a free-reign approach to scheme design. From scheme design, project procurement, bespoke product design and project management, not to mention continued support beyond handover.

Key Responsibilities of the role but NOT limited too.

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely picking of production orders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Record process data correctly.
  • Working as a team to achieve production targets.
  • Complete production orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all tools used for production are maintained to a good standard.
  • Produce parts in accordance with technical requirements.
  • Ensure all processes are followed.
  • Assist in other departments when required to do so by the business.
  • Work in a safe manner complying with HSE requirements.

Skills

  • Experience in mechanical assembly
  • Basic electrical wiring experience (e.g. Can you wire a Plug?)
  • Positive - can do attitude.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) are essential
  • Team Player.
  • Motivated to improve professionally.
  • Comfortable working with mechanical tools.
  • Physically able to meet the jobs demands.
  • Previous assembly/stores experience is beneficial.
  • Can work effectively alone and in a team
