Working closely with the highly innovative kitchen team, you will drive excellence, set the tone for exceptional service, and create a dining atmosphere that exceeds expectations.

The restaurant currently operates a four-day working week to combine an ideal work life balance and will be delighted for a career driven Restaurant Manager to join our passionate Front of House team.

The Artichoke is set in the beautiful Old Town of Amersham and features award winning, innovative cuisine. The contemporary interior revolves around a refurbished state of the art induction Open Kitchen and a Private Dining room with its own wine cellar. Awards also include Three AA Rosettes, AA Restaurant of the Year England 2013/14, and Best New Entry The Good Food Guide 2010.

The successful Restaurant Manager should have the following qualities:

  • Proven experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role within a fine dining or Michelin-starred setting.
  • Advanced wine knowledge (WSET Level 2+ or equivalent preferred) and a passion for food and wine pairings would be advantageous
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to precision, quality, and creating unforgettable moments for guests.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Well presented with personality, charisma and excellent communication skills

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Deliver tailored and memorable guest experiences with a focus on excellence.
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead the service team to uphold Michelin-level standards.
  • Curate and manage an exceptional wine program, including inventory, pairings, and tastings.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to craft a harmonious dining experience.
  • Grow revenue, enhance guest spend and meet projected sales targets
  • Oversee financial aspects, including sales reporting, budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
