Successful, dynamic and modern technology driven firm of accountants, seek a client management accountant to join their team.

This is a remote role with a great digital support network - but it will only suit someone who wants to work from home full time. My client is however looking for a personable individual who enjoys talking on the phone and video to clients so this role is not suitable for a "back-office" accountant who does not like business partnering.

This role involves working with the client management accounting team, to take away the bookkeeping and management accounts hassle from business owners by providing them with meaningful management information to help their business thrive. You’ll be helping to make a massive difference to their business and they’ll love you for it.

You’ll ideally have multiple client outsourcing experience and be working towards a professional financial qualification. You'll love dealing with people as you’ll have a lot of contact with business owners, answering queries and working with the team to provide them with meaningful management accounts, all completed remotely using the latest cloud-based technology.

Giving business owners information at their fingertips. Here's how you'll make a difference:

  • Building and maintaining great relationships with clients, helping them run a slick finance operation and answering their queries day to day
  • Processing clients supplier invoices through Dext
  • Reconciling client bank accounts using their accounts software
  • Working with the team to keep client's accounts up-to-date, so they always know how their business is performing and can make key decisions
  • Processing client bank payments through payment software
  • Using cloud-based software such as Xero, as well as packages such as Microsoft Excel
  • Working with other internal teams to ensure the delivery of a smooth and collaborative service to clients

To be successful in this fast-paced, ever-evolving role you will need the following:

  • Goood bookkeeping knowledge and expertise
  • VAT knowledge
  • Knowledge of Xero would be great, as would an understanding of other Xero apps
  • Experience in an accountancy practice or in industry
  • Working towards your ACCA qualification (or similar) is desirable
  • A love of new technologies and a desire to learn new software solutions
  • A passion for chatting with clients, and an ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • A positive collaborative team working approach
  • Passion to make a difference to our clients and the outsourcing team
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload
