We are looking for a number of Machine Operators for our Fresh produce Packing client between Chichester and Bognor Regis. The environment is chilled to 8-10 degrees., however appriopirate PPE is supplied. It's a really friendly place to work with a great buzz withtin the production evironment, encompassing colleagues from various backgrounds. Previous experience not required, however it would be great step forward for line workers within the industry that would like to progress.
As a Machine Operator you will:
- Operate and monitor machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Set the machine up at the start of the shift and adjust during the day for specific product lines
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Ensure product is packed and sealed and inline with customer specifications
- Handle materials effectively, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements
- A communicative level of English language
- Ability to work in a chilled packing environment (8-10 degrees centigrade) and stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours at any time)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to communciate any issues to supervisors
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.
