A Chemistry A-Level qualified Lab Technician is required for our market leading food manufacturing client based in the Andover region. This role is a routine lab role that would suit A-level Chemistry qualified candidate rather than degree level graduate or higher qualified due to the routine repetitive nature of the role. My client can offer long term stability but not a stepped career ladder, therefore this role would suit someone at A-level level looking for a routine permanent stable role with a establised company. Please note a full UK driving licence and car is required for this role as it is in a remote site with no public transport. Unfortunately my client cannot offer sponsorship or support work permits visas with restrictions to work.

The ideal Quality control candidate will have the following skills and experiences;

  • A level Chemistry qualified - recently qualified ideally and looking to gain experience
  • Some knowledge / experience of quality control, quality testing, quality lab testing
  • Some laboratory experience
  • A full uk driving licence and car to get to the remote site
  • Good understanding of analysing results through statistical methods '
  • Passion for quality testing, continuous improvement
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, team player and a can do flexible attitude

In this QC Lab Analyst role you will be carrying out routine testing of samples submitted to the quality control department. Key responsibilities include;

  • Carrying out production analysis,
  • Quality control of raw materials samples and tasting and smelling samples of finished products
  • Carrying out sensory testing procedures, conducting sensory analysis, accurate recording
  • Detecting any quality sensory issues to direct the sensory assessment panel.
