- Lead projects and manage communication between customers, the Power Electronics (PE) team, and both internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals and expectations.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor technical, build, and business support resources for assigned projects.
- Resolve issues related to team performance, plans, supply chains, and budgets to maintain project timelines and deliverables.
- Identify project risks, lead the development of solutions, and ensure their implementation and reporting.
- Control project scope and costs throughout the project lifecycle, liaising with departments such as business development, finance, and purchasing.
- Organise and chair regular project and team meetings, both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Programme Manager to maintain resource plans and capabilities for managing concurrent, multi-discipline projects.
- Plan product testing and verification activities across the full development lifecycle, ensuring cost, timing, and quality objectives are met.
- Drive and maintain quality standards, optimising project management processes to meet company and international standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the Power Electronics team, customers, and supply chain to meet objectives.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to assign tasks to junior team members based on their strengths, skills, and experience.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, or production engineering.
- Proven experience in Project Management.
- Strong skills in planning and prioritising project resources.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Experience with engineering manufacturing processes, ensuring cost and delivery targets are met.
- Knowledge of process development techniques such as Design of Experiment (DOE), FMEAs, 8D problem-solving, and corrective action implementation.
- Familiarity with quality standards like ISO9001 and IATF16949 (knowledge of IPC is advantageous).
