Personnel Selection are working to source a full time permanent Warehouse Operative for an established company based within Andover. Joining as a valued team member to an existing friendly and loyal team.  Due to the nature of the products, you will need to be happy working in a manually repetitive environment. There is also a requirement to work at heights.

Job Function

The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe receipt, handling and storage of Product and the accurate and timely picking and packing and shipping of customer orders.This will involve manual handling of Product and the use of Packing Machinery, You will use Hand-held Scanner Units (RF) and the use of Computer so basic computer skills essential. This is a early shift pattern working 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday.

Crucial Role Requirements to be considered:

  • Some warehousing experience.
  • A loyal steady working history.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Physical strength, fitness and dexterity in picking and lifting packages or working at extreme heights.
  • Good team-working skills to optimally collaborate with other members of a warehouse team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read instructions from a hand-held device to identify location codes.
  • Able to record information accurately if required.
  • Digital literacy, and proficient at using RF hand-held scanners.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work optimally under limited supervision.
  • GCSE Grade C or higher/equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Positive "Can Do" attitude.
  • If you do not possess one already, a willingness to train and learn high lift forklift trucks ( later down the line), if you have a licence already then great.
