Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality drama lessons to students of all abilities, fostering a love for the performing arts.



Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and effective drama lessons
  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the curriculum
  • Encourage students' participation in drama activities and productions
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and school events
  • Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment that supports learning


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Drama or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary school level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to student development
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
