Your Company:An excellent, well established childcare provider is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join the dynamic team located in the Andover area. With the need to continue providing care for children and infants to a high standard, the business is seeking to expand its team to ensure that this high quality of care, that has received them “Good” Ofsted ratings, continues into the future. This role is for a full-time position, for 40 hours per week, worked between Monday-Friday between the hours of 07.45am and 17.45pm. Your Roles and Responsibilities:

Implementing policies and procedures to ensure welfare requirements are met
Planning appropriate experiences for the children, ensuring these meet their learning and development requirements
Undertaking planning, assessing, recording and reporting on activity, in line with framework
Providing daily, weekly and termly updates for parents and guardians via the online portal, including detailed assessments and observations
Acting as a key person for an assigned group of children, establishing strong relationships to gain an in-depth understanding of needs for each child
Supporting the Positive Behaviour Management strategies across the children, understanding and implementing IEPs, EHCPs and any other relevant plans
Supporting the development of communication and language through using Language Box and Phonics sessions
Building strong relationships with parents and carers, as per the framework, ensuring that good links are provided regarding welfare, learning and development of the children
Maintaining excellent health, safety and hygiene standards throughout the environment, including maintaining the equipment in a safe manner
Undertaking any additional tasks as needed, including staying late occasionally when parents are late for pickups and attending staff meetings and training sessions

What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this role will preferably possess an Early Years Care or relatable Education qualification at Level 3 or higher, and alongside this, the business is seeking applicants with at least 2 years of experience within an Early Years care setting. Applicants will need to possess strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and understand how this supports early development and learning. Experience in supporting SEND or EAL children, including following Positive Behaviour Management plans is required. Applicants must have a good level of spoken and written English skills, alongside an adequate proficiency with general IT software such as Microsoft Office, and also a confident and compassionate demeanour.
