We are seeking an Electronics Engineer with expertise in FPGA design to join a prestigious and award-winning electronics product design team, focused on the development of video and control systems for military applications. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and developing embedded FPGA solutions for video processing and analytics. The main platforms include Zynq UltraScale+, Xilinx Zynq and families, with occasional use of other Xilinx and Lattice devices as needed. You will contribute to the full development cycle, including requirements analysis, concept design, implementation, and testing of complex systems.

Required Experience and Skills as Electronics Engineer

This company primarily works on government funded contracts and therefore require onsite work and eligibility for SC clearance.

Essential Qualifications as Electronics Engineer:

  • Extensive experience with FPGA systems for video processing.
  • Significant experience in VHDL and/or Verilog for synthesis.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux programming for SoC targets.
  • Expertise in using the Xilinx Vivado tool suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A BEng in Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable Qualifications as Electronics Engineer:

  • Familiarity with video systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of low-level embedded C/C++ software development.
  • Experience in designing low-power systems.
  • Proficiency in hardware debugging and component-level testing.
  • Experience with PCB design and layout tools (Altium is preferred but not required).
