Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our clients ever growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Duties
Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery building supplies to various locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation.
Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
You must hold a full UK Category C1 licence.
Ideally you will have 12 months minimum experience driving.
Hold a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Forklift licence (desirable).
Knowledge of load security using ratchet straps and other methods.
Good knowledge of the local area.
Clean and professional at all times.
Good written and spoken communication skills.
The ability to safely handball off large and heavy items.
