About us

Located a short walking distance from Andover town centre, The Scott Centre Preschool is an Ofsted registered preschool for children aged 2-5 years.

Run by our fantastic team, The Scott Centre offers a bright, spacious, and well-equipped setting with a secure outdoor play area that is great for exploring! All activities are run in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and focus on the individual interests of the children and their environment.

It is our aim to assist children to develop their emotional, social and communicative skills as well as academic skills such as?pre-reading,?pre-writing,?counting, size and shape recognition, and problem solving.?We promote creative skills including music and art, and physical skills to improve their balance, movement and awareness of the world around them.

About the role

You will be part of a staff and volunteer team that will plan and deliver sessions in our Ofsted registered Pre-School for children aged 2 to 5, providing opportunities for children to realise their full potential, to learn new skills, develop confidence and a positive self-image.

About you

We are looking for compassionate, enthusiastic individuals, over the age of 18, who are committed to making a difference to the lives of children and young people. Ideally, you will have a relevant Early Years qualification. You will need to be reliable, approachable and caring and have previous experience of working in an Early Years setting and planning and delivering effective learning opportunities. You will have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and knowledge of the quality standards required by Ofsted.

Salary: from £12.00 per hour

Hours: Monday 12pm 3.30pm, Wednesday 12pm 3.30pm and Friday 8.45am 3.30pm, term-time only
