Personnel Selection Recruitment is seeking Soldering Operatives to join an established local client who are leaders in their field within the electronics industry. You will be valuable and key member of the team assisting in the manufacture of a wide range of electronic assemblies. As a Solderer, you will be primarily responsible for PCB assemblies to IPC610 class 2 standard, by hand-soldering thru-hole components and complete component fit and crop. You will also be responsible for following PCB cleaning processes. There is the opportunity for the right candidate to progress into a higher standard of IPC3 soldering, and gain further training and knowledge within the electronics industry.

Normal working hours after training period will be Monday-Thursday 1pm-11pm (Initial training will be carried out on the day shift: Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00, Fri 08:30-15:30)

Duties as follows in brief:

  • Building of various products according to customer specifications and requirements.
  • Soldering of components to IPC2 standards.
  • Handling various production equipment, including; Solder irons, microscopes and hand tools.
  • Adhering to Company procedures and work instructions at all times.
  • Follow and undertake required training provided.
  • Work alongside and assist other team members, ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
  • General maintenance/up keep of your work station and taking care of your equipment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in Production/Assembly, ideally within a Manufacturing environment or similar 
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards 
  • A good attitude and work ethic
  • The ability to follow company procedures and precise work instructions at all times
  • Work collaboratively within your team and assist others where necessary
  • Soldering experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge/Qualifications of the Electronics industry is desirable
