Personnel Selection Andover are recruiting for a company based locally within the town.  Our client would like an additional Upholstery Assembler join their existing team.

The role is to help in the assistance of stripping old furniture down and re-building furniture after it has returned from being upholstered. You may also be required to help out in the machining section. You do not have had to work in a similar environment before, however you will be required to meet the following to be considered for the role. This is an immediate start temp position of which after 12 weeks you will be taken on directly by the company.

To be considered for the role you need to meet the following criteria;

  • Can demonstrate a strong previous working history in a hands on manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
  • Can use hand tools and equipment.
  • Able to use power tools confidently.
  • Happy to work with glues and resins.
  • Be fit and healthy as lots of bending, kneeling and lifting involved.
  • Confident with sharp tools and cutting equipment.
  • Handling textiles and fabrics would be advantageous but not essential.
