Personnel Selection Andover is seeking on behalf of one of our clients an Upholstery Assembly Operative based within a manufacturing facility in Andover Hampshire

This role is an ongoing temporary role with a view that it could possibly turn into a permanent role after 12 weeks.

Working hours are 08.00 - 16.45hrs Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break and 2 x 15-minute tea breaks, and 08.00 - 12.00hrs on Fridays with 1 x 15-minute tea break.   

Starting hourly rate is £12.10ph with the opportunity for overtime when available and is completely voluntary.

You do not have had to work in a similar environment before, however you will be required to meet the following:-

To be considered for the role you need to meet the following criteria;

  • Can demonstrate a strong loyal previous working history in a hands on manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
  • Can use hand tools and equipment.
  • Able to use power tools confidently.
  • Happy to work with glues and resins.
  • Be fit and healthy as lots of bending, kneeling and lifting large items involved.
  • Confident with sharp tools and cutting equipment.
  • Handling textiles and fabrics would be advantageous but not essential.
